I use a pillow on a chair and sit in a regular seated position. I find that my lower spine sticks out and if I sit up straighter my breathes become shallow. How can I remedy this? Thank you to anyone who replies.
You could move the pillow up a little bit, so that you find the exact spot at your spine, where you will have a relaxed yet straight posture. Otherwise you can also sit on a couch. Additionally you could strengthen your muscles by dedicating a few minutes daily sitting without leaning unto something (i.e. on a bench).
